Kim Mulkey Career 

Kim Mulkey played basketball for Louisiana Tech University and played a key role in the NCAA championship-winning 1982 season. She has learned the position of a point guard and due to her love, tenacity, and knowledge in basketball, made her get a nod in All-American. She also bagged gold for the United States women’s basketball team during the Olympics that took place in 1984.

After her playing years, Mulkey turned to coaching she coached as an assistant at Louisiana Tech where she would help the team capture another NCAA national championship in 1988. In the year 2000, she moved to Baylor University and she hardly felt the pulse of college basketball at this great institution. Mulkey coached the Baylor ladies’ basketball group to three NCAA national championships in 2005, 2012, and 2019. She was also lucky to be leading a team that she treated like her own children and coaching them like a fiery fire.
